iPad by Apple - Could be better.

The Apple iPad.

Today is a special day.
Why?
The Apple iPad was introduced at the Live Event Press Conference today.

"What's an iPad," you say. No, it's not an iPod.
Basically it is an enlarged version of the iPhone.
Not as good as the Macbooks, but its acceptable.

Many cons.
The iPad lacks so much functionality.
No USB ports, no CD/DVD drive, no iMovie, no highly-anticipated webcam...and some people can take care of daily tasks easier with a real keyboard rather than a virtual one.
Good progress though, Apple. *Claps*

In the next few years, we are expect something a LOT better than the iPad at unbelievably cheap prices :)

The iPad starts at $499.

There is 3G connection available.

Personally, the rumored Apple tablet (below) looked better...

Gizmo Voice: No 3 minute limit

No, we aren't trying to make titles that kind of rhyme.

We're here today to tell you that there is no 3 minute limit when you make calls using Gizmo Voice.

However, if you make a call directly from Gizmo5, you will get cut off at 3 minutes. What you have to do to not have a 3 minute limit when making calls through Gizmo5 is to use Gizmo Voice (If you don't know what that is, please read the articles below).

Make sure you make a call from Google Voice then route it to Gizmo5 (i.e. Gizmo Voice) or else you will have to deal with the 3 minute limit. Please keep this in mind when making calls through your computer.

Nintendo DSi - Better, but not the best

The Nintendo DSi came out in April of this year--that's about 4 months ago.

We're writing this article to provide with you suggestions on if you should get the Nintendo DSi or not.

The main features of the Nintendo DSi are the larger screen, SD card slot, music playing capabilities (AAC only), "apps", and 2 cameras (the outer is 3 megapixels, the inner is 0.3 megapixels).
The camera features are nice, but the inner camera's 0.3 megapixels is just too low for the average person to want.
Unfortunately, the Nintendo DSi does not have a GBA slot, so if you are considering buying a Nintendo DSi, be prepared to say "bye-bye" your Guitar Hero games and the ability to import your GBA Pokemon into the DS version of Pokemon.

Here are our suggestions:

If you don't have a Nintendo DS or DS Lite and want to purchase a Nintendo DSi, go for it.
If you have a Nintendo DS and want to purchase a Nintendo DSi, think about your decision over and over again until you are sure that you are making the right choice--it may help to wait a while. Get a Nintendo DS Lite instead...but that would be a pointless purchase, too.
If you have a Nintendo DS Lite and want to purchase a Nintendo DSi, don't!!! You're going to miss your GBA slot, you will have to convert all of your music files to AAC format to play them, and the cameras will be only somewhat useful (Have you seen anyone going around taking pictures with their Nintendo DSi? Probably not).

Since the main differences between the Nintendo DSi and it's predecessors are the music playing capabilities and the camera functions, you might want to consider getting a PSP or an iPod (Perhaps the 3rd generation, which will probably come out this fall. An article covering this topic will be posted soon).

Conclusion.
So don't waste your money. As time passes, technology gets better and better. Be patient, and wait for something that suits all of your needs to come onto the market.

If you have Google Voice, now it's time to get Gizmo Voice (Google Voice + Gizmo 5).

Why?
Because if you get Gizmo Voice, you can make free calls* to any US phone number from your computer!
(*Unfortunately, calls are limited to 3 minutes.)

Once you get a Gizmo 5 phone number, you can have all calls made to your Google Voice phone number be routed to Gizmo 5 (i.e. Gizmo Voice).

When would I use Gizmo Voice?
When you're at a hotel, your cell phone's dead, you don't want to pay for phone service, but you have free Wi-Fi, this is your chance to use Gizmo Voice. Or, you could be at home or at work and use Gizmo Voice, too. For these types of situations, you may consider purchasing a Wi-Fi phone.

Google Voice: The revolutionary phone service

"Google became a phone service provider?"
--No, Google recently bought Grand Central, which provides you with a free phone number that is tied to you instead of a certain phone or location.

So what's Google Voice, you ask?
Google Voice allows you to choose different phones to ring based on who calls your Google Voice phone number. For example, you can set Google Voice to ring your home, work, and cell phones when a family member calls your Google Voice phone number ("GV#"). Alternatively, you can set Google Voice to ring only your cell phone when Bob calls your GV#.

A phone number for eternity.
Since the GV# is tied to you, if you switch jobs or move to a new house where you have new phone numbers, all you need to do is update the phone numbers Google Voice is linked with. It's simple as that. No need to tell everyoneall of your new phone numbers. Tell them your Google Voice phone number once, and you'll never need to tell them a phone number again.

It's FREE.
Now let's think again. Nothing in this world is free. So of course, you are not able to make freecalls just because you get Google Voice. You still have to pay for your monthly phone bill. The term "free" means that the Google Voice service, along with all of it's features, is free. Let's not get confused about this.

Features.
What are some features of Google Voice? Here's a list:

Google Voice works with any phone. Regardless of its brand or service provider.
One number for all of your calls and SMS text messages
Visual voicemail. Voicemail is sent to your Google Voice inbox, where you can see them visually. Just like how voicemail is with an Apple iPhone.
Call screening: Announce and screen callers
Listen in: Listen before taking a call
Block calls: Direct calls from unwanted callers straight to voicemail.
SMS: Here's a tip--You can send unlimited texts from your Google Voice inbox, online. So forget about those monthly texting fees, and start texting for free from the internet!
Phone routing: Have different phones ring based on who's calling
Voicemail transcripts: Read your voicemail
Personalized greetings: Vary greetings by caller
Share voicemail: Forward or download voicemails
Call record: Record calls and store them online
Call switch: Switch phones during a call

Cons.
Not every product is perfect. Someone has to make it so that you can directly dial a number from Google Voice without having to dial your GV# and then enter the number of the person you want to call. This process wastes your minutes, too.

Invite only.
Google Voice is currently available by invite only. That means you have to sign up by submitting your name and e-mail address at http://www.voice.google.com

Conclusion:
Google Voice is useful for people with many phones. The main point is to have a phone number for eternity that won't change, and of course, the many neat features that come with Google Voice.
